Step by step

  1. Check the pressure gauge - the needle should be in the green zone.

  2. Inspect the pin and tamper seal to confirm it hasn't been used or discharged.

  3. Look for corrosion, dents, or a damaged hose.

  4. Shake dry-chemical extinguishers monthly to prevent the powder from settling/caking.

  5. Replace or professionally service per the tag date, generally every 6-12 years.
