Step by step
Unplug the refrigerator.
Locate the coils (behind a bottom grille or on the back of the unit).
Vacuum dust and pet hair off with a coil brush or vacuum attachment.
Wipe down the surrounding area.
Plug back in - dirty coils are a common cause of a fridge running hot or inefficiently.
