Step by step
Turn off the disposal and never put your hand inside it.
Use the offset hex wrench in the center hole on the unit's underside to free the flywheel.
Press the red reset button on the bottom of the unit.
Turn on cold water and run the disposal briefly to test.
If it still won't run, check the breaker/GFCI outlet it's plugged into.
