Step by step
Measure the width of the door bottom.
Cut the door sweep to size if needed with a hacksaw.
Close the door and hold the sweep in place to mark screw positions.
Drill pilot holes and screw the sweep to the bottom of the door.
Test that the door still opens/closes smoothly and seals the gap.
