Step by step
  1. Disconnect the opener or ensure the door is closed and unpowered.

  2. Wipe down the tracks with a rag to remove dirt/grease buildup.

  3. Apply a silicone-based lubricant to rollers, hinges, and the top of the springs.

  4. Avoid lubricating the tracks themselves - only the rollers and moving hardware.

  5. Open and close the door manually a few times to work in the lubricant.
