Step by step
Disconnect the opener or ensure the door is closed and unpowered.
Wipe down the tracks with a rag to remove dirt/grease buildup.
Apply a silicone-based lubricant to rollers, hinges, and the top of the springs.
Avoid lubricating the tracks themselves - only the rollers and moving hardware.
Open and close the door manually a few times to work in the lubricant.
