Step by step
Score along both edges of the old caulk with a utility knife, then scrape it out.
Clean the area with rubbing alcohol or a mold-killing cleaner and let dry fully.
Apply painter's tape above and below the gap for a clean line.
Run a steady bead of 100% silicone caulk, then smooth with a wet finger.
Remove the tape while wet; avoid water contact for 24 hours to cure.
