Step by step
Turn off power at the breaker and unplug/disconnect the unit.
Support the disposal, twist the mounting ring to release it, and disconnect drain/dishwasher lines.
Attach the new disposal's mounting assembly to the sink flange.
Reconnect the drain trap and dishwasher inlet (knock out the plug if new).
Restore power and run water while testing the unit.
