Step by step
Shut off the hot/cold supply valves under the sink.
Disconnect supply lines and remove the old faucet's mounting nuts.
Clean the sink deck and install the new faucet's gasket/base.
Connect new supply lines and hand-tighten, then snug with a wrench.
Turn water on slowly, check for leaks, and run the faucet to clear air/debris.
