Step by step
Go to the electrical panel and look for a breaker in the middle or 'off' position.
Unplug or turn off major appliances on that circuit before resetting.
Firmly push the breaker to full OFF, then back to ON.
If it trips again immediately, stop and call an electrician - that signals a short or overload.
Label the panel if the affected circuit wasn't already marked.
