Step by step
Remove the existing deadbolt (unscrew the interior and exterior halves).
Confirm the door prep (backset, bore hole size) matches the new smart lock's spec sheet.
Install the new lock's exterior and interior assemblies per the included template.
Insert batteries and pair with the app or hub.
Test locking/unlocking manually, by app, and by keypad/code before relying on it.
